SEENET I and II

The SEENET program is a decentralized cooperative initiative belonging to the Tuscan Region and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who are working in South East Europe to encourage local governments to become true catalysts of development and to guarantee steady social and economic growth.

PARTNERS:ALBANIA,BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA,CROATIA,KOSOVO,MACEDONIA,SERBIA,TUSCANY
The 21 partners were chosen not only due to their geographical distance or linguistic similarities/diversities, but also in terms of equal representation of ethnic groups within the area; all of these aspects have been developed over time with progressive reports on exchanges and meetings with the Tuscan authorities. In addition, based on work carried out on a regional project in the Istria District resulting from meetings in Florence and Brioni, it has been agreed upon by local partners to give the Istria District the role of counterpart and leader of the 21 South East European partners for the entire Programme, taking into consideration the fact, that being a district, it represents an efficient institutional interlocutor.
