Unit for social security, child and health protection

Competencies

performs activities related to providing conditions for development of quality sport in the City of Skopje;
organizing, encouraging and assisting sport events and events of importance to the City of Skopje;
construction and maintenance of sports facilities of importance to the City of Skopje;
institutional and financial support to cultural institutions and projects of importance to the City of Skopje;
nurturing folklore, customs, old crafts and other cultural values;
organizing cultural events, encouraging various specific forms of creativity;
commemorating events and persons of importance to the City of Skopje with memorials;
realization of social care for categories of persons determined by law;
managing, establishing, financing and maintaining public institutions homes for the elderly and children's resorts;
taking measures to protect workers' health and safety at work;
health education, health promotion, preventive activities, environmental health surveillance and communicable diseases;
assisting patients with special needs;
coordinates its work with other departments within the City of Skopje administration.
