Education Department

Pursuant to Article 13a of the Decision on the Organization, Scope and Manner of Performing the Tasks of the Administration of the City of Skopje (“Official Gazette of the City of Skopje” No. 12/2005, 15/07, 06/08 and 19/08) Education Department:

1. monitors secondary school affairs in the city;
2. analyzes the situation and gives initiatives and proposes measures and activities for their improvement and problem solving;
3. performs activities related to the establishment of public high schools, dormitories and adult education institutions;
4. performs activities related to the financing planning and participation of representatives of the City of Skopje in the management bodies of public high schools, dormitories and adult education institutions;
5. monitors the situation and makes suggestions for the organization of the school network of the City of Skopje;
6. proposes measures and activities to raise the level of student standards;
7. provides information and data on the activities of the City of Skopje in the field of secondary education;
8. coordinates its work with other departments within the city administration and performs other tasks entrusted to it.
