Born 1956 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.

Family man, wife Dusanka, daughter Clementine.

Hobby is a basketball and football player, and has previously worked with karate.

 

EDUCATION

He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in his hometown in 1980.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • From 1981 - 1996 he worked at MZT HEPOS as Head of the Computer Center.
  • In the period 1996-1998 he founded and led his own computer software firm for integrated information systems, closing the firm and turning to politics.
  • In 1998 he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the majority list of VMRO DPMNE.
  • In 2002 he was elected Member of Parliament for the proportional list of VMRO DPMNE.
  • The mandate is terminated because of the new post of Mayor of Gazi Baba, where he strengthens the local self-government and its management by his duties and responsibilities as mayor.
  • In April 2005, he was elected mayor of Gazi Baba municipality by direct local elections for a four-year term.
  • In April 2009 he was elected Mayor of the City of Skopje in direct local elections with a four-year mandate.
  • In April 2013 he was elected for a second term as Mayor of the City of Skopje in direct local elections with a four-year term.
  • In 2009 he was elected President of all local self-governments in the Republic of Macedonia, of the Association of Local Self-Government Units - ZELS.
  • In 2013 he was re-elected President of all local self-governments in the Republic of Macedonia, of the Association of Local Self-Government Units - ZELS.
  • Former President of all local self-governments in the Republic of Macedonia, of the Association of Local Self-Government Units - ZELS.
  • He is a member of the General Assembly of the Network of National Local Authorities in South East Europe - NALAS for 4 years.
  • He is a former member of the Commission for fulfilling the criteria for 2 phases of fiscal decentralization.
  • He is a former member of the National Committee for the European Union.
  • He is a former member of the National Council for Balanced Regional Development.
  • He is a former member of the Committee on Urban Expansion and Waste Management.
